Lim Lee Ching's PhD research (2008), with NUS, is on violence, Modernist poetry, Yeats, Stevens and Auden. His research and teaching interests also include Singapore literature, culture and issues, literary aesthetics, the Canon, non-ideological cultural theories, the oral tradition, food and literature, The Manas and Central Asian epics, the Táin and other Irish literary traditions, and British and Irish Cinemas.
