Neil Murphy
Head, English | Associate Professor

 
  Neil Murphy received his PhD from University College Dublin, Ireland (1999). He is Associate Professor of English Literature with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at NTU in Singapore, having previously taught at NIE, Singapore and the American University of Beirut. He is the author of Irish Fiction and Postmodern Doubt: An Analysis of the Epistemological Crisis in Modern Irish Fiction (Edwin Mellen: Lewiston NY, 2004). Other publications include articles, chapters and reviews on 20th Century Irish literature, contemporary fiction and Postmodernism. Murphy’s current book project is an analysis of a selection of contemporary authors in a post-realist epistemological context. In addition, he is co-editing a collection of essays on contemporary British-Asian novelists.
