Sim Wai Chew
Assistant Professor
Dr Sim Wai Chew obtained his BA (Honours – first class) from the University of East Anglia, UK, and his Ph.D. from the University of Warwick, UK. His book on the fiction of Anglo-Japanese author Kazuo Ishiguro was published in 2006. He is currently editing a collection of essays on British-Asian fiction (co-editor: Neil Murphy, NTU). An earlier collection of short stories featuring various established Singapore writers appeared in 2007 (co-editor: Angelia Poon, NIE). His fiction has appeared in the Straits Times (Singapore), in Silverfish New Writing 5 (Silverfish: Kuala Lumpur, 2005), and in the e-zine Julie Mango.
